Jakarta, July 29, 2024 – To create a child-friendly and responsible work environment, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) win Child-Friendly Company (PLA) award with a Main Rank from the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA). This award is given by the Minister of PPPA, Bintang Puspayoga, to UT’s Corporate Secretary, Sara K Loebis, located at the Ministry of PPPA Building, Central Jakarta.

UT’s Corporate Secretary, Sara K. Loebis, said that this award marks a significant step in UT’s efforts to become a company concerned not only with business achievements but also with the welfare of children and the community.

“This Child-Friendly Company award recognizes UT’s collective efforts to create a safe and supportive environment for children. We believe that a better future begins with prioritizing children’s welfare. “We will continue to work to improve this initiative and make it an integral part of the Company’s culture,” said Sara K Loebis.

This award is presented to UT as a form of appreciation for its commitment to respecting children’s rights and ensuring that children’s human rights are not violated in the company’s operational activities. This award is evaluated using three major principles: the workplace, marketplace, community, and environment. These three principles address essential issues such as child-safe workplace policies and conditions, responsible business practices, and the company’s contribution to society and the environment.

The assessment process for this award involves several stages, including sending a team of assessors to conduct direct surveys of companies. Of the many companies assessed, eight were chosen to receive this award. This award considers various factors, including child-friendly business practices beginning with the company’s products, materials used, human resources (HR), and a child-friendly workplace and culture.

This award motivates UT to become a more sustainable and responsible company. UT has demonstrated a long-term commitment to creating a better future for future generations by integrating child protection principles into business operations.
