United Tractors Sampit Branch Wins Fire Disaster Mitigation Award from the East Kotawaringin Regent

The presentation of the Fire Disaster Mitigation Award by Halikinnor, Regent of East Kotawaringin, to a representative of UT Sampit Branch.

Sampit, February 16, 2024 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Sampit Branch continues to respond to disasters within its operational area. Due to the commitment demonstrated, the UT Sampit Branch was honored by the East Kotawaringin Regent in Disaster Management (UTACTION) on January 17, 2024. This award is an appreciation for the contribution of UT Sampit Branch in providing assistance and support in handling forest and land fires (Karhutla) in the East Kotawaringin region from September to October 2023.

“This award is presented to UT Sampit Branch as a form of gratitude from the government to the Company for assisting with handling Karhutla. We are hoping that UT Sampit Branch will continue to consistently support prevention and handling measures for Karhutla in the East Kotawaringin region as a collective effort to preserve the environment,” said Halikinnor, the East Kotawaringin Regent.

The Sampit Branch of UT actively participated in the Karhutla firefighting activities. In assisting, the UT Sampit Branch collaborated with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the East Kotawaringin Fire Department. This collaboration laid the foundation for the UT Sampit Branch to engage actively in disaster mitigation and response. The collaboration strengthens synergy between the private sector and the regional government in preserving forests and preventing land fires.
