United Tractors, PAMA and UT School Collaborated with the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs to Held Heavy Equipment Operator and Mechanic Training in Jayapura

Jayapura, September 13th,2023 – To increase the competency of Human Resources (HR) in Papua, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA), and UT School (UTS), collaborated with the Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic Indonesia (Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs) held training for heavy equipment operators and mechanics in Jayapura. This activity aims to improve local communities’ skills and employment opportunities and support infrastructure development in the region.

This training was attended by 38 Papuans, 18 of whom were in the mechanic class and 20 in the heavy equipment operator class. In its implementation, this activity occurred from August 8th to September 13th, 2023, at the Jayapura City Social Service Hall. This training is also a form of the Company’s commitment to consistently implement Environmental, Social, and Government (ESG) aspects.

After completing this training, it closed with several events attended by Dr. Ir. Hj. Tri Rismaharini, M.T. (Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia) at UT Jayapura Branch. This closing event began with an appearance by UT School Jayapura students, continued with a speech by Catur Padutama (Head of UT Jayapura Branch), presentation of training activity reports, directions from the Minister of Social Affairs, and closed with a demonstration of unit operation and maintenance by training participants.

Through this collaboration, it is hoped that it will be a good step in joint efforts to improve the quality of life of the Papuan people and support infrastructure development in the region.
