PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) continues its efforts to improve the quality of local fruit cultivation by organizing the Primary Development Program (PUDP) in Sumber Rejo Village, Batu, East Java, on February 28 and March 8, 2024. This activity is part of the Employee Volunteering Program series provided by the Arjuno UT Community Development Team to 120 employees from various branches and sites. This training is divided into two batches: the first batch is attended by 60 beginner-level employees, and 60 master-level employees attend the second batch. UT does this to implement the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects to create sustainability in the economic and environmental fields.
This seedling and cultivation training is part of UT’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the environmental field (UTREES) to improve the production of quality avocados and oranges near each UT’s operational area. On the other hand, this initiative is also expected to positively impact the environment by reducing or eliminating carbon dioxide (CO2) based greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, UT hopes to help improve the local economy, thus achieving prosperity.
