Implementation of Student Skills Competition (LKS) for SMK Students in Ponorogo Regency, East Java, and Banyumas Regency, Central Java.
Jakarta, 20 May 2024 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) collaborated with the East Java and Central Java Education Authorities (Dispen) to hold the 32nd Heavy Equipment Technical (TAB) SMK Student Skills Competition (LKS) on April 25–26, 2024, at SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo. In addition, the Central Java Province TAB LKS was held on May 2-4, 2024, at SMK Maarif NU 1 Sumpiuh, Banyumas Regency. In implementing this program, UT collaborated with its subsidiaries, such as PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) and PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering (UTPE).
“This collaboration is a form of UT’s commitment to carrying out sustainable business practices by providing positive contributions to improve the quality of competence in the field of education. UT hopes that this competition will create a superior generation ready to compete in the business and industrial world,” said Himawan Sutanto, CSR Manager UT.
This competition is an effort by UT to realize sustainability through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the field of education United Tractors for Education and Bright Future (UTFUTURE). The purpose of the program is to improve the competence of VHS students in the field of heavy equipment. In addition, it is a forum to answer the need for skilled, characterful, and standardized labor in the business and industrial world. The assessment indicators include students’ understanding of Diesel Engines, Electric & Drive Trains, and Pre-Delivery & Hydraulics, with the determination of the winner based on the highest three scores.
It is hoped that holding this competition can provide a platform to realize creative ideas and also have a positive impact on improving the achievements and competence of SMK students, creating human resources that are highly competitive, innovative, and resilient.
The implementation of the 2024 LKS has been successfully carried out, with the following final results:
