United Tractors Holds Employee Voluntary Through Teaching Practitioner Program at SMA Kornita and Plants 520 Trees at IPB

PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) supports environmental sustainability and education development by organizing two significant events at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB). On this occasion, UT held an employee volunteer program involving 91 employees to teach at SMA Kornita IPB and 52 employees to plant 520 trees in the IPB campus forest area on (06/09/2024).

“We are very pleased to be able to contribute directly through the tree planting program and the practitioner teaching activities. We believe that sustainability is related to the environment and about providing positive benefits to the community, especially the younger generation. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all stakeholders involved. With this collaboration, we hope it can impact nature and education in Indonesia,” said CSR Manager UT, Himawan Sutanto. 

This tree-planting activity is part of UT’s efforts to maintain ecosystem balance and mitigate the impacts of climate change. The planted trees are expected to benefit the environment and the surrounding community. This activity is one of the implementations of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects, where UT plays a role in creating a greener and more sustainable environment.

Moreover, the employee volunteer program held at SMA Kornita IPB shows UT’s concern for improving the quality of education. In this activity, UT employees, namely Environment and Social Responsibility (ESR) representatives from branches and sites throughout Indonesia, shared knowledge and experiences with 390 students regarding the personal values that must be prepared for the future.

At the same time, UT collaborated with PMI Bogor to conduct a blood donation program for IPB academicians, collecting 45 blood bags. It is hoped that through this activity, UT can benefit nature, stakeholders, and the surrounding community. Additionally, this practitioner teaching activity can motivate SMA Kornita IPB students to prepare themselves before entering the world of work and industry.
