Jakarta, March 28, 2025 – In celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Group is once again organizing the 2025 homecoming program for employees and their families. This initiative reflects UT Group’s commitment to facilitating a safe and comfortable journey for employees and their families to celebrate this special occasion. With the theme “Comfortable Homecoming with Scania,” the program accommodates 1,793 participants departing from multiple locations, including UT Head Office in Cakung; PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) Head Office in Pulogadung; Pasar Senen Station in Central Jakarta for train travelers; and PT United Tractors Pandu Engineering (UTPE) and PT Dian Pandu Pratama (DPP) in Cikarang.
This homecoming program is attended by employees and their families, UT School students, and internship students. A total of 30 buses are prepared to transport participants to destinations across Sumatra, West Java, Central Java, East Java, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Additionally, PAMA provides two train carriages as an alternative mode of transportation. UT Group’s Board of Directors leads the departure ceremony, which is also attended by the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia (Menaker), Prof. Ir. Yassierli, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.
“At the Ministry of Manpower, we always emphasize the importance of collaboration between labor unions and employers. Building harmonious industrial relations is not easy, but we must remain optimistic as many companies continue to foster such relationships. The ‘Comfortable Homecoming with Scania’ program organized by UT Group is a concrete example of corporate care for its employees. Gotong royong (mutual cooperation) is embedded in our national identity. When employees feel cared for, it helps establish a more harmonious and productive industrial relationship,” says Prof. Ir. Yassierli, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.
Beyond serving as a moment for strengthening family bonds, this initiative aligns with the government’s recommendation to hold collective homecoming programs to enhance safety and reduce traffic congestion during the holiday season. According to data from the Indonesian Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police, many accidents involve motorcyclists traveling for homecoming. This program also aims to reduce the use of private vehicles and cut carbon emissions from the transportation sector.
To ensure the safety of all participants, UT Group implements comprehensive safety measures. All bus drivers and crew members must undergo health screenings, drug tests, and fatigue checks to ensure they are in optimal condition for long-distance travel. Additionally, the company conducts safety briefings for homecoming participants to educate them on safety standards during long journeys.
“We understand how important Eid al-Fitr is for employees to reunite with their families. Therefore, we strive to provide homecoming facilities that are safe and comfortable and create a memorable experience for participants. We hope for a smooth journey where everyone reaches their destinations safely and returns to work in good health and high spirits,” says UT President Director, Frans Kesuma.
Through this initiative, the company hopes employees can enjoy their homecoming experience and return to Jakarta safely. Additionally, the collective homecoming program aims to strengthen bonds among employees and the UT Group family, filling this moment of togetherness and reunion with happiness.
This program is an initiative by companies within the UT Group, including UT, PAMA, UTPE, DPP, PT Bina Pertiwi (BP), PT Traktor Nusantara (TN), PT Mitra Bakti UT (MBUT), Yayasan Karya Bakti United Tractors (YKBUT), PT Kanitra Mitra Jayautama (Kamaju), PT Global Service Indonesia (GSI), and UT School.
