As evidence of its commitment to advancing the quality of vocational education, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) sent an Indonesian delegation to the 2024 WorldSkills Competition (WSC) in Lyon, France. The category that participated was Heavy Vehicle Technology. The delegation’s release was carried out directly by UT’s Human Capital & Sustainability Director, Edhie Sarwono, and UT’s Product Support Director, Idot Supriadi, which took place at the UT Head Office, Jakarta (30/08/2024).
“This participation is concrete evidence that the Company supports the development of the quality of education of the younger generation and advances the standards of professional competence in Indonesia. We hope that the achievements will inspire other young generations to continue to develop themselves and excel internationally,” said Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager UT, Himawan Sutanto.

The WSC 2024 delegate selection stage starts from 2022 – 2023 with the selection of the National Student Competency Competition (LKSN) Heavy Equipment Engineering (TAB) winners. The 2022 LKSN TAB winner and UTSchool student Reza Mahendra was selected to represent Indonesia in this event accompanied by TAB Expert Joni Darling Sembiring. Reza won 13th place with a score of 670 in the competition, showing extraordinary dedication and effort among the participants.
This year, the 47th WSC competition was held in Lyon, France, from September 10 to 15, with 11 competition fields. WSC is an international competition that aims to inspire participants to continue improving their skills and interests in the field of TAB.
Through this participation, UT will continue to support the development of education and human resources (HR) in the field of TAB at international events. This is consistent with the Company’s resolve to raise labor standards to compete globally and fulfill Indonesia’s sustainability.
