United Tractors Collaborated with Anies Baswedan DKI Jakarta Governor for 2017-2022 Period, Revitalize and Inaugurate Kampung Gembira Gembrong

Jakarta, October 7th, 2022 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) collaborated with the Governor of DKI Jakarta for the 2017-2022 period, Anies Baswedan, inaugurated the “Kampung Gembira Gembrong” located on Jalan Jenderal Basuki Rachmat, Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. Kampung Gembira Gembrong is the result of the area rehabilitation and revitalization post-fire incident which burned 400 buildings over there last April. United Tractors assisted in building of PAUD and Posyandu facilities used for the surrounding community.

“Kampung Gembira Gembrong can be used as an example due to its new approach in healthy building structure. I also express my gratitude to the donors, one of which is PT United Tractors Tbk who has helped to contribute by building PAUD and Posyandu facilities. Hopefully, this collaboration can provide benefits and strengthen sustainability,” said the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

The collaboration carried out with the DKI Jakarta Government aims to provide benefits in the education, social, economic, and environmental fields. Beside that, PAUD and Posyandu are essential to create shared values ​​in advancing social and economic conditions, improving health, as well as ensuring quality of the environment.

“We are aware of the importance of education and health facilities in post-disaster settlement recovery, Hence, United Tractors presents PAUD and Posyandu to support the need for education and health of early childhood. This is our effort in implementing ESG aspects and principles for the sustainability of the surrounding community,” said United Tractors Corporate Secretary, Sara K. Loebis.

The new oPAUD and Posyandu are realized due to the good relationship between UT and the East Jakarta City Administration. UT not only assist in terms of infrastructure but also in comprehensive programs that can support the sustainability of the surrounding community. The programs created are PAUD learning curriculum, Posyandu health program, and several other CSR programs in community empowerment (UTGROWTH), environment (UTREES) and disaster recovery (UTACTION).

The healthy settlements in this village apply the concept of waterfront city, where the river becomes part of the front yard. In addition, this village also applies zero runoff, namely the concept of developing waterfront areas such as shores, rivers, or lakes.

Kampung Gembira Gembrong was inaugurated on October 7th by Anies Baswedan as Governor of DKI Jakarta, along with donors including UT and the local community. The name Kampung Gembira was coined to motivate people to rise, be empowered, and be happy in their activities.
