Jakarta, November 20, 2024 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) and its subsidiary PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN) participate at Electricity Connect 2024. At this event, UT and EPN introduce green innovation as part of the company’s efforts to support the transition to New and Renewable Energy (EBT) in Indonesia. The innovations introduced by UT and EPN include green business solutions, green power plant development, and green hydrogen ecosystems. In its implementation, this event was held live on November 20-22, 2024, at the Jakarta Convention Center.
Iwan Hadiantoro, UT Director and President Director of EPN, said that UT and EPN will always encourage innovation to create a greener, more sustainable future. One of UT’s business segments in the energy sector, represented by EPN, has a vital role in the development of EBT and is integral to the UT Group’s expansion of the reach of clean energy solutions.
“We believe that renewable energy innovation is an important step towards a better future. Through our participation in Electricity Connect 2024, UT and EPN want to show our strong commitment to supporting the green energy transition in Indonesia,” said Iwan Hadiantoro.
At this event, UT introduced EPN as the primary entity in Indonesia’s EBT initiative. EPN’s journey in providing clean energy has occurred through various projects supporting environmental and economic sustainability. With its extensive experience, EPN continues to develop green energy that can positively impact society and the environment.
Currently, EPN’s portfolio includes several renewable energy projects, including Solar Power Plants (PLTS), Hydro Power Plants (Hydro), and Geothermal Power Plants (Geothermal). These projects demonstrate EPN’s real contribution to providing environmentally friendly energy sources and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. UT and EPN will continue to develop solutions that are not only efficient but also sustainable. This is consistent with the government’s goal of hastening Indonesia’s transition to renewable energy.

Overview of PT Energia Prima Nusantara
Established on February 28, 2014. Initially, the Company had an integrated electricity supply with the coal sector and supporting infrastructure business, where the Company owned and operated the PAMA-1 mine mouth power plant with a capacity of 2×15 MW located in Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan. The power plant became the electricity supplier for the Mining Cluster Improvement Program (MCIP) of the PAMA Group with the Electricity Business Area (“WUK”) scheme. In 2018, the new stream business shifted to the Renewable Energy sector, starting from the provision of Rooftop Solar Power Plants systematically with a total installation of 17 MWp and installation progress of 17 MWp, Mini Hydro Power Plants (PLTM) both developed by EPN itself through PT Uway Energi Perdana for the 7 MW Besai Kemu PLTM Project or through its subsidiary, PT Arkora Hydro Tbk, as well as the construction of a distribution transmission network developed by PT Bina Pertiwi Energi which is also one of the business entities under EPN. In addition, EPN also acquired a new business, namely the Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) Geothermal Project PT Supreme Energy Rantau Dedap in South Sumatra with a capacity of 91.2 MW.
ESG PT Energia Prima Nusantara
As a company engaged in the electricity provider sector in Indonesia, we realize that environmental aspects are a vital part of the journey in the energy business, and we are committed to providing environmentally friendly electricity. In supporting the ESG program in the PLTU business, EPN has a strategic step in accelerating the implementation of Co-Firing Biomass by producing and mixing woodchips and sawdust by 3% of the total fuel consumption (coal) used. This is also an effort to reduce carbon in the environment around the PLTU. Management of B3 and Non-B3 waste uses the 3R principle: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. One of the most extensive management is the management of Fly Ash and Bottom Ash by utilizing it in products with economic value, such as concrete Batako and Paving Block products.
