PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program in disaster response (UTACTION), collaborates with the Jakarta Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) to organize the 2024 Disaster Preparedness Education Festival (FESDIKGANA). The event aims to enhance knowledge and skills in responding to hydrometeorological disasters. The festival started from May 13 to August 15, 2024, involving 242 webinar participants and 666 competition participants from 297 schools. The festival culminated in a live event at the Wahyu Sihombing Theater, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta.

“We hope that through this collaboration, UT can introduce various disaster management programs that the community can implement in emergencies. Additionally, this participation is one of UT’s efforts to fulfill its commitment to positively contributing to society,” said Sara K. Loebis, Head of the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Division.

The festival’s theme is “Governance of Hydrometeorological Disaster Preparedness Education: Building Sustainability and Resilience in Educational Units in an Era of High Risk.” The event also features several activities, including webinars, educational video competitions, scientific paper competitions, quiz competitions, evacuation map competitions, and a final quiz competition. It concludes with an awards ceremony.

During this event, UT launched a disaster preparedness educational board game designed for people with disabilities, titled “Inclusive Disaster Preparedness.” The board game was created in collaboration with Predikt Tangguh Indonesia and is intended to raise awareness and knowledge about disaster preparedness through an interactive and inclusive approach. Additionally, UT donated the book “SOBAT Bercerita dan Berdampingan dengan Bencana” to the HB Jassin Library, enriching disaster literature in Indonesia. This initiative reflects UT’s commitment to implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

The event was attended by Sara K. Loebis, Division Head of Corporate Governance and Sustainability UT; Dra. Prasinta Dewi, M.AP, Deputy for Prevention at BNPB; Drs. Pangarso Suryotomo, Director of Preparedness at the National Disaster Management Agency; Dr. Drs. Isnawa Adji, M.AP, Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta; and Ady Andyana, Director of Business and Operations at PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda).

Through this collaboration, UT hopes to strengthen its commitment to deliver a positive and sustainable contribution to society.
