Supporting Cooperative Sustainability, United Tractors Wins Top 100 Corporate Care Cooperative Award 2024

In recognition of the company’s dedication to supporting cooperative development and strategic partnerships, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) has successfully received the Top 100 Corporate Care Cooperative Award 2024, organized by Peluang magazine. UT was awarded Gold in the Business Development Partner category. This award acknowledges UT’s active contribution to fostering synergy between corporations and cooperatives in Indonesia, specifically through PT United Tractors Tbk Employee Cooperative (Kopkar Kanitra). The award was presented directly by the General Leader and Editor-in-Chief of Peluang Media Group, Irsyad Muchtar, to UT’s Corporate Governance and Sustainability (CGS) Head, Sara K. Loebis, at the Ministry of Cooperatives Auditorium in Jakarta on December 12, 2024.

“This award motivates us to expand the positive impact of collaboration with cooperatives in various company operational areas. We believe partnerships between cooperatives and corporations are strategically valuable in realizing an inclusive and equitable economy. We hope to consistently implement various strategic initiatives to strengthen synergies that bring added value to all stakeholders,” said Sara K. Loebis.

The evaluation criteria for this award included Strategic Partnership, Economic Empowerment, Capacity Building, Partnership Innovation, Social Impact, Sustainability, and Scalability. Each variable was scored using a Likert scale (1-5), with a maximum score of 30. The assessments were conducted by cooperative practitioners, cooperative associations, academics, and journalists.

Kopkar Kanitra has been operating for 33 years since its establishment on June 1, 1991, aiming to enhance the welfare of UT Group employees by providing various services and products to meet its members’ needs. The products and services offered by Kanitra include loan programs, Kanitra Mart, Cafe Pointer, Food Court, photocopying and digital printing services, general business, Pertashop and industrial fuel, licensing services, workshops, and vehicle rentals.

Through this award, UT is recognized as a company that consistently incorporates sustainability values and social responsibility in its operations and establishes various strategic partnership programs with cooperatives, both internally and externally. These programs include providing facilities for employee cooperative businesses, involving cooperatives as strategic partners in the company’s supply chain, and supporting the marketing of local cooperative products.

This award proves the company’s commitment to empowering communities and promoting an equitable economy. This effort aligns with the company’s vision to create a positive impact by implementing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles while strengthening relationships with local communities.
