Supporting Biodiversity Conservation, United Tractors Receives IDX Channel Anugerah Inovasi Indonesia (ICAII) 2024

For its dedication to implementing the UTREES environmental conservation CSR program, which positively impacts sustainability, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) was recognized at the IDX Channel Anugerah Inovasi Indonesia (ICAII) 2024. UT won in the Sustainability category. This event, organized by IDX Channel, celebrates companies’ sustainable innovations that holistically support economic, social, and environmental development. This year’s event theme was “Leading Innovation Through Dynamic Business Modelling for a Sustainable Future.” The award was presented directly to United Tractors’ Corporate Communications and CSR Manager Himawan Sutanto at the Indonesia Stock Exchange in Jakarta on December 10, 2024.

“We are deeply grateful for the recognition given to UT. This appreciation motivates us to develop further sustainability programs that prioritize implementing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects. We hope to continuously support environmental conservation and preserve biodiversity in Indonesia through various company programs,” said Himawan Sutanto.

At this event, UT highlighted its UTREES program, focusing on biodiversity conservation in Indonesia. Through this program, the company has conducted conservation activity on the slopes of Mount Arjuno, including reforesting 567 hectares of forest with a target of increasing carbon absorption by 5% annually. The company has also successfully planted over 150,000 trees of various superior species, contributing to reducing carbon emissions and improving the biodiversity index.

In addition, the company actively participates in sustainability initiatives such as flora and fauna conservation through strategic collaborations with educational institutions and government. For example, the company supports rare species preservation programs, including Bali Starling and Muntjac Deer breeding projects at the Forest Park of IPB University.

This achievement is a tangible testament to the company’s commitment to conducting business operations, prioritizing sustainability aspirations, and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by improving environmental quality and community welfare and creating long-term value for all stakeholders.
