Jakarta, November 26, 2024 – PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) and the Turangga Resources Group (TTA) have been honored with awards at the 2024 Community Development and Empowerment Performance in the Mineral and Coal Sector (Tamasya) Award. Presented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), these awards recognize PTAR and the TTA Group for their outstanding efforts in implementing optimal Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) programs. The awards were presented at the grand event of Minerba Expo 2024, held by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources at the Kartika Expo Center, Jakarta, on November 26, 2024.
PTAR received awards in the Economic Independence category and the Second Implementation of Economic Independence category for Mineral Mining Enterprises. PTAR’s PPM initiatives have created a positive impact on communities around the Martabe Gold Mine operations. The program’s primary focus is to foster economic independence among local communities, particularly by empowering women’s groups. Key initiatives include capacity-building for home-based culinary businesses and the development of local makeup artists (MUAs).
Meanwhile, the TTA Group received awards through three of its subsidiaries: PT Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB) in the Medium-Scale Coal Mining Enterprise category, and PT Telen Orbit Prima (TOP) and PT Kadya Caraka Mulia (KCM) in the Small-Scale Coal Mining Enterprise category. These awards acknowledge the TTA Group’s impactful PPM programs, which have significantly benefited communities near their mining operations.
These awards are expected to further motivate PTAR and the TTA Group to integrate sustainability values by strengthening the mining sector’s role, promoting inclusive and sustainable national development, and delivering long-term benefits for communities and the environment.
