Protecting Biodiversity, United Tractors Site Rantau Inaugurated Mini Aviary

Jakarta, August 7, 2024 – As a commitment to preserving biodiversity and positively contributing to the environment, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Site Rantau inaugurates a Mini Aviary. The purpose of the Mini Aviary is to serve as an educational tool for employees about various bird species and to help improve air quality around the office due to plants’ absorption of carbon dioxide. Additionally, its presence in the office environment can have a relaxing effect and reduce employee stress levels. The event began with the release of 21 parakeets and 2 Java doves as a symbolic start to the opening of the Mini Aviary on July 3, 2024.

The inauguration event was attended by Human Capital & Sustainability Director UT, Edhie Sarwono, who signed a document to mark UT’s commitment to environmental preservation. Also present was the Chair of the UT Karya Bakti Foundation, Endang Tri Handajani, and her team. In addition, there was a plant tour to provide information about site operations to management and employees and a gathering to strengthen relationships between management and employees. Hopefully, this event can inspire other sites to foster sustainable and environmentally conscious work communities.
