Jakarta, March 4, 2024 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with local communities and trained cadres in various fields, held at the Al-Furqaan Mosque UT. This signing marks a significant step in strengthening cooperation and collaboration to achieve sustainable common goals.
“With the signing of this MoU, UT underscores its support for better community development, economic empowerment, social welfare, and improved environmental sustainability in the future. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we are committed to significantly contributing to society, bringing a more inclusive and sustainable future for all,” said UT’s CSR Manager, Himawan Sutanto.
Through the MoU signing, UT supports sustainable development and community empowerment through five pillars of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), namely UTCARE (Health), UTGROWTH (Economic Empowerment), UTACTION (Emergency Response), UTREES (Environment), and UTFUTURE (Education).
In its implementation, UT collaborates with 52 integrated health posts, 6 supported schools, 4 disaster-resilient communities, 12 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and 6 waste banks, all located in the operational areas of UT in Cakung, East Jakarta. This collaboration aims to improve community health and welfare, reduce inequality, strengthen peace, justice, and institutions, advance the economy, and achieve environmental sustainability. These efforts align with various target pillars of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including improving health (SDG No.3), reducing inequality (SDG No.10), fostering economic growth (SDG No.8), poverty alleviation (SDG No.1), and addressing climate change (SDG No.13).
