UT School (UTS), an educational institution under PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), held a national graduation ceremony for the Batch 34 regular class on December 3, 2024. The ceremony was conducted in a hybrid format at ten online learning locations (LC) and the Grand Ballroom of UT’s Head Office (HO) in Jakarta. This year’s theme was “The Contributions of UTS in Educating the Nation, with the Character of Integrity, Politeness, Expertise, Courage (INSANi), and International Insight.” The event was attended by the Director of Human Capital & Sustainability UT, Edhie Sarwono; and member of the Board of Trustees of the Karya Bakti UT Foundation (YKBUT), Endang Tri Handajani; Chairperson of YKBUT, Mochamad Hamdan Aziz; Director of UTS; UT; and YKBUT management; UTS business partners; and government representatives

“UTS, which is currently 16 years established, has successfully graduated 41,041 students. The alumni have worked in various regions of Indonesia, and since 2021, 110 alumni have worked in Japan. We hope that this program will continue to expand career opportunities for alumni, both domestically and internationally,” Hamdan Aziz said.

In the Batch 34 graduation ceremony, UTS successfully graduated 201 students. Reza Mahendra, one of the graduates, represented Indonesia in the World Skills Competition in Lyon, France, in the Heavy Vehicle Technology category and was also named the best graduate of UTS Jakarta.

Founded in 2008, UTS aims to be the world’s leading mechanical and heavy equipment operator skills education institution. This vision is reflected in its curriculum development, which aligns with the needs and demands of the business and industrial world (Dudika). Examples include the Mental and Physical Strengthening Program (Bintalsik); implementation of INSANi cultural values and the Panca Daya character program; English language training for heavy equipment mechanics; and the adoption of modern technologies like the Vocatic learning management system, virtual reality, and 3D printing. Additionally, UTS invests in practical equipment and collaborates with the Indonesian Heavy Equipment Certification Agency (LSP ABI) to ensure all students possess competencies that meet heavy equipment qualification standards.

In this event, UTS also inaugurated its 23rd learning point in Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara, through a video grand launch during this event. A new program, the Heavy Equipment Operator Training in Merauke, was also introduced. Furthermore, UTS held the UTS Awarding event, honoring partners in five categories, namely The Best Company for Employee Development: Project Collaboration, The Best CSR Partner for Empowering Local Community, The Best Company for Employee Development: Competencies Development, The Best Collaboration Company for Hiring UT School’s Alumni, and Special Recognition Award.

“The launch of the Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program in Merauke is a testament to our commitment to extending the benefits of UT through UT School, developing the potential of youth in Merauke, South Papua,” said Edhie Sarwono.

It is hoped that graduates will excel, be skilled, and apply the INSANi character as they contribute to the workforce. This event serves as a source of pride for UTS. It highlights its continuous initiatives to meet the needs and demands of the Business and Industrial World (Dudika) through an industry-relevant curriculum. Through UTS, UT continues to produce a competent future generation for the nation.
