Prioritizing Occupational Safety and Health, United Tractors Wins the 2023 Indonesia Safety Excellence Award

Jakarta, October 11, 2023 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) is committed to optimizing the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in every business operation. Due to this commitment, UT succeeded in winning the Indonesia Safety Excellence Award 2023. This award ceremony was organized by First Indonesia Magazine at the Menara Peninsula Hotel, Jakarta.

First, Indonesia Magazine presents this award to companies that implement K3 aspects optimally in every activity. This award selects the theme “Strengthening Occupational Health and Safety (K3) in Business Sustainability”, which aims to support the Indonesian Government’s program to maintain sustainable business operations.

UT achieved five stars in three categories: The Best HSE Implementation, The Best HSE Team, and The Best Safety Culture. Apart from that, Erika Pratiwi, as Environment, Health and Safety Department Head, also received an award as The Best Leadership on Safety Culture. This award was given directly by Dr Ir. Aswin Sasongko, MSc. (Head of ICT National Research Council) and Christopher P. Simanjuntak (Head of Training, Human Resource Development & Certification – Safety Professionals Society) to Adwi Mahendra (UT Health Management Team Leader).

Adwi Mahendra, in his speech, said the success achieved by UT through this award is clear evidence of the Company’s commitment to implementing K3 regulations in the work environment. “We would like to thank First Indonesia Magazine for the award given. “In the future, we will continue to consistently strive to prioritize employee safety and health by implementing compliance aspects in running business, sustainability principles, and the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG),” said Adwi Mahendra.

The assessment indicators in this award are based on SMK3 Implementation, Business Continue Management System, Digital Transformation Management/implementation of collaboration with SMK3, superior program innovation carried out in K3, K3 & Eco Green policies and procedures, and Digital Culture Aspects.

The 2023 Indonesia Safety Excellence Award is an annual corporate rating activity in the safety sector to map the challenges and problems faced by companies in the K3 sector, where there has been a swift digital transformation, making companies have to be adaptive, globally competitive, and sustainable. The companies that won this award showed their commitment to business sustainability, social responsibility, and customer trust.
