Jakarta, July 2, 2024 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) continues to improve the community’s prosperity and employees around its operational areas. UT demonstrated this commitment this time by inaugurating the Pratama Clinic, Lembaga Pengembangan Business (LPB), and the UT Karya Bakti Foundation employee mess. This event was officiated directly by UT’s Human Capital & Sustainability Director, Edhie Sarwono; UT Finance Director, Vilihati Surya; UT Corporate Secretary, Sara K. Loebis; and Chair of the UT Karya Bakti Foundation (YKBUT), Endang Tri Handajani, located at UT Site Tanjung, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan.
In his speech, Edhie Sarwono emphasized the importance of collaboration with various parties to have a wider impact on local communities. UT will also continue to strive to contribute to Indonesia’s economic growth through the creation of sustainable added value.
“UT, as part of Astra, has the value of continuing to grow with stakeholders. Therefore, UT has carried out various initiatives by establishing several infrastructures to provide health facilities to the community and become a vessel for business development through coaching Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM). “In the future, UT will always collaborate with the local government to build a better economy in Tabalong Regency together,” said Edhie Sarwono.
In realizing sustainability in the health sector, UT presents the Pratama Clinic as a response to the need for easily accessible health facilities for employees and the local community. Pratama Clinic is expected to be able to provide optimal health services and increase public knowledge regarding health issues.
In the economic sector, UT also inaugurated LPB Tanjung, a collaboration between UT and the Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra (YDBA). Establishing LPB Tanjung aims to foster UMKMs in the UT Site Tanjung operational area, including Balangan Regency and Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan. LPB Tanjung is targeting UMKMs that were previously fostered by LPB Pama Banua Lima, which was founded by PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) together with the Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra (YDBA) from October 2018 to December 2021 with the potential for 194 UMKMs, as well as new UMKM players.
On the other side, YKBUT built a mess in the UT Site Tanjung operational area to build employee togetherness and welfare. The aim of creating this machine is to increase employee productivity and solidarity. In addition, this mess was established to provide comfortable lodging facilities for employees, ensuring a better quality of life while working at this site. After the inauguration ceremony, there were activities such as planting mahogany, tanjung, and avocado trees and greening the mess area.
With the various initiatives that UT has carried out, it is hoped that it can support social and economic development in the region. And able to create a conducive work environment and encourage good growth for all stakeholders.
