Jakarta, May 11th,2023 – As a form of participation in celebrating World Immunization Week 2023 which falls on 4-10 May, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) seeks to increase public awareness of the importance of immunization for health with held a talk show with the theme “Immunization by Injection Double, Safe, and Beneficial”. In its implementation, this activity was carried out hybrid at the UT Corporate University and through a Zoom Meeting with 200 participants from the toddler posyandu cadres in the Cakung District.
The health talk show is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the health sector, namely United Tractors for Community Health Responsibility (UTCARE), which is the Company’s commitment to realizing sustainability and positive contribution to society with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) implementation.
“Through the momentum of the 2023 World Immunization Week, UT is participating in organizing a health talk show to help build public confidence in immunization and overcome doubts about issues that may arise. With an understanding of the importance of immunization, many Indonesian children will be optimally protected, so that they can grow into a healthy generation,” said UT’s CSR manager, Himawan Sutanto.
UT collaborated with the Cakung District Health Center in organizing this event. This is very important to do to increase the effectiveness of the immunization program and provide more significant benefits to the community.
The activities began with a speech by Ian Murdiyan (Deputy Head of Cakung District). Next, followed by a speech from Drg. Junaidah (Head of the Cakung District Health Center). Then, the presentation by Dr. Ngabila Salama, MKM (Kasie Surveillance), delivered material related to Multiple, Safe and Useful Immunization. After that, dr. Ellen Roostaty Sianipar, Sp.A (K) (Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Provincial KIPI Committee) explained the handling of Post-Immunization Follow-up Events (KIPI).
“As health cadres, we will collaborate with various parties to continue actively disseminate health information, especially regarding the importance of immunization. Immunization is the right of every child to achieve physical and mental health. Let’s together ensure that every child gets the full benefit of immunization which protects them from dangerous diseases,” said the Head of Surveillance, dr. Ngabila Salama, MKM.
Through this activity, UT hopes to broaden the knowledge of Posyandu toddler cadres regarding immunization and improve community health status. In addition, it can have a positive impact, such as increasing public awareness, increasing immunization coverage, preventing the spread of disease, and reducing morbidity and mortality.
