Batu, February 3rd, 2023 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) strengthens the Company’s commitment to boost the regional economy. Included in the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), this commitment provided training to MSMEs in Indonesia. One of the training was basic administration training to MSMEs in Tulungrejo Village, Batu City, last Friday (03/02). This initiative falls under UTGROWTH (United Tractors for Generating Opportunities and Wealth), UT’s CSR program in the economic field.
“MSME fostering program is a part of UT’s initiative in implementing sustainability principles aligned with the Company’s goals to add value for stakeholders and the community in Indonesia. This program is a concrete manifestation of UT’s contribution and as well as a form of the Company’s responsibility to the community in the hope of increasing their potential and economic value,” said UT’s CSR Manager, Himawan Sutanto.
According to UT, one of the challenges for MSMEs in managing their business lies in the administrative aspect. Therefore, this training aims to improve the basic skills of MSMEs members in developing and preparing business administration, so that the financial reports of MSMEs can be managed properly while serving as a foundation for future business analysis to increase business revenue. In addition, UT also accommodates hands-on practice in managing business administration for MSME players. So that the participants can improve their skills directly with the experts’ help.
UT cooperates with one of industry players who has successfully run their business in Malang, Dzulfikar Abdullah S.P., M.P. the owner of Sate Hotplate Malang, who delivered a number of training materials ranging from basic financial report administration to calculating the value of the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
Local entrepreneurs engagement is one of UT’s various efforts to synergize all stakeholders in creating added value for MSMEs in the long term. In addition, UT also opens opportunities to foster local MSMEs by providing access to financing, training, and mentoring until MSMEs can become independent.
Through UT’s MSME fostering program, the Company hopes that their presence can help optimize the benefits of financial products and services, increase literacy, and financial inclusion for society and MSMEs in Indonesia.
