Jakarta, Sunday, 21 August 2022. PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) is committed to continuing to apply the principles of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in all of its operations. This time, UT collaborated with Special Olympics Indonesia (SOIna) Jakarta Province to hold a running event together with athletes with disabilities in UT RUN 2022. This running event aims to improve the health and fitness of UT people together with the community.
UT also held a donation activity in the UT RUN 2022 in which every meter traveled by participants will be converted into rupiah to be distributed as donations through SOIna Jakarta Province. Through this activity, UT is committed to actively contributing to providing opportunities for friends with disabilities to appear and participate in public spaces.
“This collaboration is not only to provide support to athletes with disabilities but as a form of corporate responsibility for the surrounding community. Through this activity that upholds diversity, inclusiveness, and sportsmanship, UT also strives to put forward the principles of corporate sustainability that have a good impact on the environment and social community,” said UT’s Director of Finance, Iwan Hadiantoro.
This UT RUN activity is a series of activities commemorating the 50th UT Anniversary which was carried out in a hybrid, held offline directly at Asya Jakarta Garden City (JGC) area followed by 643 runners, and online in the form of UT Virtual Run 2022 followed by 1,061 runners from UT Branches and Sites all over Indonesia. UT RUN activity was also attended by Frans Kesuma as President Director of PT United Tractors Tbk, Loudy Irwanto, Iman Nur Wahyu, Iwan Hadiantoro, Eddie Sarwono, Idot Supriadi, as the board of directors of United Tractors. AHEMCE (Astra Heavy Equipment, Mining, Construction, and Energy) executives also attended this activity. In addition to runners from all branches and sites, UT RUN was also attended by athletes with disabilities from SOIna Jakarta Province, Astra Runners, Tractor Runners, and UT School.
The event started with warming up to ensure the safety of the runners. Then the running competition started for the 5K runners, followed by the 10K runners. After the marathon, the event continued with an opening speech from the Directors of United Tractors, represented by Iwan Hadiantoro as Director of UT. Then there was a performance from the winner of UT Idol, Zakiyatul Fahmi. Next, the awarding session for all UT Run winners was symbolically given by the BOD of UT. After the awarding session, a symbolic donation was given as the result of the participants’ mileage conversion into rupiah to SOIna. The donation was symbolically represented by Edhie Sarwono as Director of UT. Then there was an interactive session by introducing SOIna and its programs to the participants. The event closed with entertainment and door prizes for the participants.
