Jakarta, 5 July 2024 – PT Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia (KRA), as the representative of Komatsu Group Indonesia, successfully achieved two international awards at the Komatsu Worldwide event. KRA received two awards in the “Gold Prize” category at The 55th (FY2023) All Komatsu QC Convention and The 53rd (FY2024) Komatsu Group Safety & Health Convention. This achievement is concrete evidence that KRA consistently innovates in workplace safety.

The 55th (FY2023) All Komatsu QC Convention was held in November 2023. In this event, KRA’s team, represented by the DENSUS team from the Engineering & Disassembly Department, successfully achieved the Gold Prize. The innovative project showcased at this event involves significant solutions for dismantling and reengineering processes to improve production efficiency and final output quality. By leveraging cutting-edge technology and stringent quality control methodologies, the team demonstrated that this innovation can be a key driver in achieving competitive excellence in the remanufacturing industry. 

This award was attended by various teams from around the world, comprising 14 countries and involving 88 teams within the Komatsu Group. The primary focus of this convention is on quality control and innovation in production processes. The achievements awarded are concrete evidence that KRA can compete with the best companies in the world regarding innovation and quality control. 

Furthermore, the 53rd Komatsu Group Safety & Health Convention occurred in June 2024. The team participating in this event was the ACYL Pro Team from the Engine Assembly & Cylinder Department of KRA, which achieved the highest award, the Gold Prize. The ACYL Pro Team presented a project to enhance workplace safety in the engine assembly and cylinder departments. This project involves developing new safety procedures, providing intensive employee training, and implementing new assembly aids to monitor and reduce the risk of workplace accidents. As a result, this innovation successfully demonstrated a significant decrease in non-ergonomic and unsafe activities, leading to an overall improvement in workplace safety. 

This convention is attended by various teams from around the world, representing 12 countries and involving 44 teams within the Komatsu Group. It focuses on innovation in workplace safety and health, crucial aspects of the remanufacturing industry. 

The two international achievements attained by KRA not only demonstrate KRA’s excellence in innovation and workplace safety but also strengthen the Company’s position as a leader in the global remanufacturing industry. This success also reaffirms KRA’s commitment to supporting Komatsu Group’s vision of achieving excellence through innovation and workplace safety.
