Commitment to Develop Young Generation Talents, United Tractors and UT School Win Appreciation of Outstanding Talents and Partners 2022 Kemendikbudristek

Jakarta, December 20^th,2022 – The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek RI) gave awards at the 2022 Talent and Partner Achievement Appreciation event to PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) and the Mechanical Skills Education Institute and Heavy Equipment Operators under the auspices of United Tractors, UT School.

The 2022 Talent Appreciation Event and Partners are organized by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) and the Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI) which is an organizational unit of the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. UT with the stock code UNTR is considered to have made a positive contribution to the field of education by encouraging the growth of outstanding talents in Indonesia.

The award was handed over directly by the Minister of Education and Research and Technology, Nadiem Anwar Makarim to Leader of Social Responsibility and Communication (SRCOM) Department of UT, Dimas Aryo at the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture office, Jakarta, last Tuesday (20/12/2022). This appreciation is proof of the synergy between the government and the industrial world in improving the quality of reliable and adaptive Human Resources (HR).

“UT appreciates the award that has been given by the Kemendikbudristek. This award has further motivated UT to continue to support the steps taken by the BPTI and Puspresnas of the Kemendikbudristek in developing outstanding talents in Indonesia,” said UT’s CSR Manager, Himawan Sutanto.

On the other, Nadiem Anwar Makarim emphasized that collaboration is a very important element in developing the talents and achievements of Indonesian children. Through the collaboration between Puspresnas and BPTI, the Ministry of Education and Culture together with stakeholders can create a superior generation for Indonesia.

“Collaboration is the main basic principle of Merdeka Belajar, cooperation starting from the education office, schools, universities, and partner organizations. Kemendikbudristek will continue to be committed to providing spaces to support the development of talent and increase student achievement,” said Nadiem Anwar Makarim.

UT understands the important role of the younger generation in advancing the Indonesian economy, particularly in the heavy equipment industry and other related industries. Therefore, to create young talents who have skills and qualities that can compete globally, UT and Kemendikbudristek have collaborated which has had a positive impact on improving the quality of skills education in Indonesia.

Several forms of collaboration and commitment that UT has realized for the education sector including the formation of the UT School educational institution, a national level Student Competency Competition (LKS) in the field of heavy equipment, CSR in the education sector (UTFUTURE) such as the SOBAT program (UT Fostered Schools) which has fostered more than 1,300 vocational schools in Indonesia, and various other support programs.

All of these programs are part of the company’s implementation of the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and part of UT’s efforts to create a sustainable business and generate qualified future generation for Indonesia.

In Addition, UT together with the Karya Bakti United Tractors Foundation (YKBUT) through the UT School has established 21 learning points spread throughout Indonesia. Until now UT School has succeeded in producing approximately 27,000 qualified graduates who are now working at UT and its subsidiaries, as well as UT customers.
