Jakarta, August 17, 2024—To honor and celebrate the services of heroes who fought for Indonesia’s independence, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) held a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Finance Director UT Vilihati Surya at the UT Head Office in Jakarta. This year’s independence celebration carries the theme “New Nusantara, Advanced Indonesia,” which emphasizes sustainable development throughout the Indonesian archipelago.
UT launches several initiatives to commemorate Independence Day and foster a sense of nationalism among employees and stakeholders. One is the inauguration of a mural at the UT Head Office building, which signifies UT’s commitment to supporting national development by implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects.
The event continues with the inauguration of the UT School lobby, which introduced a new concept for addressing the challenges of education, technology, and industry. Furthermore, there was the symbolic launch of the Collective Labor Agreement for the 2024-2026 Period, the final result of negotiations between the labor union and the employer conducted every two years. Performances from UT School and UT Security and various competitions by UT Group employees also enlivened the event.
UT reaffirms its appreciation to the parties contributing to the Company and Indonesia this year. The parties who received appreciation include members of the Indonesian National Police, the Indonesian Armed Forces, Traffic Police and Civil Defense Officers (Lalin and Linmas), delegates of the Special Olympics Indonesia (SOINA) who won first place in the Gothia Special Olympics Trophy, chess athlete delegates fostered by UT in the Easter Asian Junior event, and exemplary employees including Gardeners, Security, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.
