Celebrating Eid al-Adha, UT Group Distributes Sacrificial Animals to the Community

Jakarta, June 29th,2023 – PT United Tractors (UT) Group celebrates Eid al-Adha 1444 H/2023 CE by distributing sacrificial animals to the Community around the Company’s operational areas. This activity is carried out simultaneously in all branch sites and UT Group subsidiaries involving employees, employees’ families, and the Community.

This year’s Eid al-Adha celebration was held through a series of events, such as having Eid prayer with UT School employees and students at the Al Furqaan Mosque, UT Head Office, Jakarta. Then, a symbolic handover of the sacrificial animals was carried out by Edhie Sarwono (Director of UT) to Ciptahadi (Chair of the 2023 Sacrifice Committee) and after that, followed by the slaughter of sacrificial animals and distribution of meat to the surrounding Community.

UT’s CSR Manager, Himawan Sutanto, said this activity is a form of corporate social responsibility for the surrounding Community. The activities are expected to provide benefits not only tothe employees but also to the Community around the Company’s operational areas.

“Eid al-Adha is a reminder of the values of sacrifice and generosity. This is the time for all of us, including the UT Group extended family, to reflect on the importance of caring about being unselfish and helping people in need. This moment also provides an opportunity for all of us to unite, strengthen ties, and support each other,” said Himawan Sutanto.

This activity is expected to be an instrumentation for the UT Group extended family to increase faith through religious activities. Eid al-Adha has a noble value to teach individuals to have generosity and contribution to fellow human beings. This supports UT’s commitment to running a sustainable business through the 3P Roadmap, especially Public Contribution.
