Through this scholarship program, students who have completed one year at UT School can further their studies at ASTRAtech for an additional three years. This initiative aims to produce graduates from the Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Heavy Equipment Maintenance Engineering (TRPAB) by 2028. As part of this program, a gathering event was held for mentors and scholarship recipients at Astra Polytechnic, Cikarang, on January 23, 2024.
“Through the UT School – ASTRAtech dual degree program, we aim to build a sustainable education ecosystem that provides students with academic learning opportunities and hands-on mentoring experiences. Our mentors serve as role models in shaping students’ character and professionalism,” said Himawan Sutanto, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager at UT.
This fully funded scholarship covers all educational expenses from admission to graduation, equivalent to a D4 (Applied Bachelor’s Degree) level. Additionally, the program includes a structured mentoring system for students. The mentoring initiative, known as the “buddy” program, follows a senior-junior pairing model designed to support learning progress through monitoring and evaluation. Seventeen mentors from 14 collaborating UT Group companies and foundations have been assigned to guide the 17 scholarship recipients.
Through this collaboration, scholarship recipients are expected to acquire technical knowledge and skills and develop core values such as responsibility, strong learning spirit, and integrity. The company remains committed to providing access to quality education as a long-term investment in fostering a competitive young generation that will contribute to the Nation.
