Agincourt Resources, a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), successfully wins the Sandya Praditya Award 2024 for its dedication and commitment to enhancing literacy within local communities. This award recognizes Agincourt Resources’ active participation in the Reading Culture Promotion Movement (GPMB). The award is presented directly by the Acting Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. E. Aminudin Aziz, Ph.D., to Agincourt Resources’ Superintendent of Community Services, Yayan Nuryawan, on December 9, 2024, at the National Library Auditorium in Jakarta.
This accolade serves as tangible proof of Agincourt Resources’ commitment to fostering reading interest from an early age, primarily through the establishment of 14 Children’s Reading Parks (TBA) in Batang Toru and Muara Batang Toru sub-districts, South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra. This initiative provides a platform for learning and self-development for local children. Additionally, Agincourt Resources actively supports informal learning facilities as part of its efforts to back the GPMB program. Agincourt Resources hopes that this initiative inspires other companies to contribute to improving community education, especially in their respective operational areas.
