For its commitment to reducing carbon emissions through sustainability programs, PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR), a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), won 7 Eco-Tech Pioneer and Sustainability Award (EPSA) awards in 2024 from the Department of Environmental Engineering, Diponegoro University. PTAR achieved three award ranks in this event: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. This award was given to PTAR as a form of appreciation for the Company’s initiative to implement technological innovations to maintain environmental stability and sustainability. The award was given directly to Senior Manager Environment, Health, and Safety PTAR, Hari Ananto; Senior Manager Community PTAR, Christine Pepah; and Media Relations Specialist PTAR, Gloria Natalia, located in the Ballroom of Tentrem Hotel, Semarang, on Saturday (31/08/2024).

The Gold Award was received by PTAR in the Eco-Hazard Innovation Category for the Plastic Packaging Cyanide Reduction program at the Martabe Gold Mine Processing Plant, as well as the Hydro Smart Innovation Category for the Robust Centrifugal Pump Addition program at the Oxygen Plant Installation to Reduce Unaccounted Water Consumption. Furthermore, the Company also won Silver awards in the Community Development Category through the Lubuk Larangan program, the Eco-Cycle Innovation Category for the Implementation of Wood Dust as a Support for Reclamation Activities, and in the Low Carbon Innovation Category for Gap Adjustment and Level Controlling on Pebble Crusher to Reduce Vibrating Feeder Load. 

In addition, the Company received a Bronze award in the Ecosystem Protection Category for the Arbuscular Mycorrhiza Isolation and Production program as an Inoculum Source for Restoration of Degraded Areas and the Green Power Innovation category for the Implementation of Cavity Sensor Technology to Maintain Choke-feed Conditions in the Ore Milling Process. 

The award is tangible proof of the Company’s implementation of various sustainability strategies, including an international-standard environmental management system, biodiversity management, and reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions through decarbonization projects, offsets, and nature-based solutions. 

The Company will continue to be committed to reducing the intensity of water withdrawal, maintaining the quality of wastewater produced, and responsibly managing solid and liquid waste. The Company is committed to implementing sustainable mining practices through environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices and positively impacting the community around the operation.
