Jakarta, July 5, 2024 – To celebrate the 497th anniversary of DKI Jakarta, the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) DKI Jakarta inaugurated the Jakarta Tangguh Exhibition on June 15, 2024, at Season City in Tambora, West Jakarta. The theme for this year is “Joint Action to Create Jakarta as a Global Resilient City,” which aims to raise awareness among Jakarta’s residents about natural disasters, helping them to become more resilient and prepared. PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) participated in the exhibition through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, UT for Emergency Response and Action (UTACTION), by creating booths focusing on various aspects of disaster management.

“We are hopeful our support in creating the booth will enable UT to showcase different natural disaster management strategies that the public can utilize in such situations. Moreover, our involvement underscores UT’s commitment to actively participate in enhancing community welfare,” stated Himawan Sutanto, CSR Manager UT.

The event featured group exercises, coloring competitions, disaster management simulations, and representatives from different organizations. These activities added excitement to the exhibition and drew in visitors from various backgrounds. UT and the PREDIKT team organized interactive quizzes and educational board games. Additionally, a booth showcasing rescue vehicles and mini excavators was also set up.

UT’s booth was also visited by Isnawa Adji; BPBD DKI Jakarta Head Executive, Premi Lasari; Head of DKI Jakarta Social Service, and Uus Kuswanto, Mayor of West Jakarta. They showed appreciation for UT’s contribution to increasing awareness in disaster preparedness, “the program’s innovation that has done by UT is good, even more, they collaborated with other parties such as BPBD, Dinas Penanggulangan Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan (Disgulkarmat), Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI), and others,” said Premi Lasari, Head of DKI Jakarta Social Service.

It is hoped that by participating in this event, UT will strengthen its commitment to making positive contributions to the community. Holding this event can also be a platform for education and collaboration between the government, the private sector, and the community to make Jakarta a safer and more resilient city in the face of disasters.
