Jakarta, May 29, 2024 – Subsidiaries of PT Tuah Turangga Agung (Turangga Resources), namely PT Telen Orbit Prima (TOP), PT Suprabari Mapanindo Mineral (SMM), and PT Kadya Caraka Mulia (KCM), successfully won the TOP CSR Awards 2024. The awards received by TOP include the Top CSR Awards 2024 Golden Trophy, Top CSR Awards 2024 Star 5, and Top Leader on CSR Commitment 2024. SMM won awards in the categories of Top CSR Awards 2024 Star 5 and Top Leader on CSR Commitment 2024. KCM won awards in the categories of Top CSR Awards 2024 Star 4 and Top Leader on CSR Commitment 2024. At the same event, a subsidiary of Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), PT Bhumi Jati Power (BJP), also won awards in the categories of TOP CSR Awards 2024 Star 4 and TOP Leader on CSR Commitment 2024.
Meanwhile, PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) won the 2024 TOP CSR Awards in the categories of TOP CSR Awards 2024 Star 5 and TOP Leader on CSR Commitment 2024, awarded to UT President Director Frans Kesuma. The awards were presented directly by TOP Business at the Hotel Raffles, Kuningan Jakarta. These awards were given to the UT Group for their consistent efforts in building sustainability in Indonesia through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in the environment, education, health, disaster response, and economy.
In his speech, Sigit Reliantoro, Director General of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control (KLHK), highlighted several critical issues in running CSR programs, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. He noted that climate change has progressed from global warming to global boiling, indicating the severity of the current crisis. Biodiversity is experiencing mass extinction, and pollution, particularly in most cities worldwide, fails to meet good air quality standards. All resources must be gathered to address and integrate these issues into this crisis.
The theme of this award, “CSR & ESG Innovation Programs for Sustainable Business Growth,” emphasizes that CSR should not only provide social benefits for the community and environment but also align with business strategies and support the achievement of business targets to ensure sustainable company growth.
“We extend our gratitude to TOP Business for the awards given to the UT Group. These awards further encourage us to consistently develop CSR programs that align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” said UT CSR Manager Himawan Sutanto.
The assessment indicators for these awards are based on several criteria, including impact management, CSR governance, and the role of contributing to sustainable development through their role as a business entity. This recognition motivates the UT Group to consistently implement CSR programs that create sustainable added value through collaboration with credible parties.
