Jakarta, May 7, 2024 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT), PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA), PT Kalimantan Prima Persada (KPP Mining), and PT Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB) have successfully won the 2024 Sustainable Village Development Awards from the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Kemdes PDTT). These awards were given to UT, PAMA, KPP Mining, and ABB for their successful initiatives in sustainable village development through various programs they have implemented.

“I appreciate companies that continue to commit to creating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and assist the government in achieving development targets. Let us drive the rural economy through empowerment based on local wisdom to achieve social, economic, and environmental resilience. Through this award, it is hoped that the business world can consistently prioritize CSR programs that align with their business processes,” said the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. (H.C.) K.H. Ma’ruf Amin.

In these awards, UT achieved the Gold rating for the UniTy Village program in the Arjuno Mountain Slope of Batu City, East Java. This initiative by UT focuses on developing the village through five CSR pillars: Education, Health, Environment, Entrepreneurship, and Disaster Preparedness. The award was presented directly by Prof. Dr. (H.C.) K.H. Ma’ruf Amin to the Head of Corporate Governance and Sustainability Division, Sara K. Loebis, at The Westin Jakarta Hotel.

Additionally, PAMA received a Silver rating for five programs, including the development of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) through the Creating Shared Value (CSV) program, improving the quality of cultural villages, cultivating sugar palm and food products made from sugar palm, collaborating with BUMDes Karya Makmur, and fostering the climate village program towards a self-sufficient village in PAMA Dusun Kawista Wonosobo.

KPP Mining earned a Silver rating for four programs: Empowering Stunting Prevention, Intelligent and Characterful Youth Generation, Economic Value Organic Sengayan (Origami Sengayan), and Organic Waste Bioconversion (Maggot Cultivation in Manggul Village). ABB received one Bronze for the electrification program of Sakakarangan hamlet and an Appreciation award for the vocational school development program at SMK Maharati in Central Kalimantan.

“We thank Kemdes PDTT for the awards given to the UT Group. These awards further motivate us to develop CSR programs aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” said Sara K. Loebis.

Kemdes PDTT, in collaboration with the Indonesian Social Sustainability Forum (ISSF), organized these awards to motivate companies to accelerate village development through various programs. The judging process to determine the winners involved several stages, including Phase I and II registration, document collection and verification, presentation, notification of field visits, and final field verification for Gold candidates.
