Jakarta, August 20th,2023 – PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) continues to strive to encourage the electrification vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. UT is collaborating with SMKN 1 Mejayan this time to convert electric motors. This collaboration aims to promote environmentally friendly technological innovations by having a positive impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and also accelerating the creation of an ecosystem for Battery-Based Electric Motorized Vehicles (KBLBB) that can provide benefits in the form of savings for consumers and the government.

UT, through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the field of education (UTFUTURE), carries out this collaboration as a commitment to improving the quality of Human Resources (HR) in the latest technological innovations. In addition, to implement value creation in the UT School Foster Program (SOBAT) by collaborating with the students of SMKN 1 Mejayan in the conversion process.

UT’s CSR Manager, Himawan Sutanto, said that this collaboration was UT’s concrete step in supporting the transformation towards sustainable mobility in Indonesia by implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects. “UT believes that the conversion of this electric motor will not only provide benefits for the environment but also provide opportunities for students to develop knowledge and skills in new technological fields,” said Himawan Sutanto.

This motorbike conversion collaboration is expected to be a real example of the importance of cooperation between the education and industrial sectors in encouraging technological innovation for sustainable development in Indonesia. In addition, it can inspire the general public and other industry players to play a more active role in promoting the use of environmentally friendly vehicles. Thus, the contribution to global efforts to reduce the impact of climate change will be even more significant.
